One Kingdom Street Topping Out

June 2007

One Kingdom Street at PaddingtonCentral was topped out on Friday 15th June 2007. One Kingdom Street the 260,000 sq ft office building designed by Sheppard Robson is being constructed by Skanska.

Kingdom Street, a tree-lined boulevard, forms the backbone of Development Securities and Morley Fund Management second phase in PaddingtonCentral’s development, which includes an international four star business hotel pre let to Accor alongside One Kingdom Street.  Planning consent exists for a further 600,000 sq ft of office accommodation. 
 
On One Kingdom Street, Development Securities and their funding partners Morley Fund Management and Union Investment set out to achieve best practice in sustainability, challenging Skanska to achieve 100% recycling of on site waste. Having already achieved 97% they are working hard to achieve the remaining 3%, One Kingdom Street has also achieved an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM rating  and has been assessed using the Planet Positive™ Protocol which measures and helps to reduce carbon emissions during construction.
